From the Founder’s Desk

Dear Friends,

Technology is transforming lives, yet many of our seniors are left behind. I created Senior Citizens CONNECT to change that, a place where seniors can confidently learn, connect, and thrive in today’s digital world.

This initiative is not just about smartphones and computers. It’s about staying close to family, reducing loneliness, and creating joyful moments through learning, games, and community.

With patience, empathy, and support, we are bridging the digital divide in Amuwo Odofin, Lagos. I invite you to join us in connecting seniors and enriching lives.

Warm regards,

Odafe Anaughe

Who we are

Senior Citizens CONNECT is an initiative led by Odafe Anaughe, a specialist in Tech Training, IT Consulting, and Design. With patience, empathy, and a flair for creating engaging learning spaces, we help seniors embrace technology confidently and joyfully.

Our Mission

To empower seniors with digital literacy skills and meaningful social engagement that enhance connections, reduce isolation, and improve quality of life.

Our Vision

A world where no senior feels left behind in the digital age—every elder connected, confident, and enriched.

Community Engagement

At Senior Citizens CONNECT, we believe community is key. That’s why we partner with:

  • Local senior associations
  • Community leaders
  • Volunteer groups

Through these partnerships, we not only teach technology but also build friendships, reduce loneliness, and strengthen community bonds.

Impact Goal:

Our first milestone is to empower 30 seniors in Amuwo Odofin with digital skills and social activities that support lifelong connection.

Digital Literacy

Digital literacy equips seniors with the confidence to navigate technology in their everyday lives. From learning how to use smartphones, tablets, and computers to understanding social media, email, and online services, it opens new opportunities for communication and access to information. By gaining these skills, senior citizens can stay informed, independent, and connected to the digital world around them.

Fostering Social Engagement

Social engagement plays a vital role in seniors’ overall well-being. Through interactive programs, group discussions, online communities, and shared activities, seniors can actively participate in social life. This engagement helps reduce isolation, boosts mental health, and creates a sense of belonging. It also allows them to share their experiences, wisdom, and values with others, strengthening community ties.

Enriching Everyday Connections

Beyond skills and activities, the ultimate goal is to enrich seniors’ daily lives with meaningful connections. Whether it’s connecting with loved ones across the globe through video calls, joining virtual interest groups, or simply staying in touch with friends nearby, these connections bring joy, comfort, and purpose. Enriched connections help seniors feel valued, supported, and fully integrated into society.
